AdBioPen X — Portable Handheld Bioprinter for In Situ Biofabrication

$5.950,00

AdBioPen X is a portable handheld bioprinter developed for advanced in situ biofabrication and in situ bioprinting applications. Unlike conventional desktop 3D bioprinters, AdBioPen X enables researchers to directly deposit bioinks, cell-laden hydrogels, and photocurable biomaterials onto target surfaces—wherever the application requires.

As an adaptable in situ bioprinter, AdBioPen X supports the creation of customized hydrogel-based constructs on irregular, curved, and anatomically complex surfaces. Its handheld format brings portable bioprinting beyond the laboratory bench, offering a practical solution for tissue-engineering research, wound-related applications, regenerative-medicine studies, and patient-specific biofabrication workflows.

The AdBioPen X handheld bioprinter integrates a motorized extrusion system, bioink cartridge, interchangeable nozzle options, and visible-light photocuring capability in one compact platform. Controlled extrusion supports cell-friendly printing conditions and enables the deposition speed to be adjusted according to the properties of each bioink. This flexibility helps researchers work with a variety of hydrogel formulations and cell-loaded materials.

Its replaceable visible-light module allows compatibility with different photoinitiators and crosslinking approaches. Hydrogels can be crosslinked during or after printing, while material composition and curing conditions can be tailored to obtain constructs with different stiffnesses and tissue-like characteristics.

By combining portability, controlled extrusion, and on-demand photocuring, AdBioPen X serves as a versatile portable bioprinting tool for researchers developing next-generation in situ biofabrication strategies. It supports the transition from conventional, lab-based 3D bioprinting toward more flexible, localized, and application-oriented biofabrication.
